The reading group did not sustain itself as we had hoped. All good things though.
This summer may be a chance to revitalize some interest. I was able to view Beauvoir’s televised interview:
I showed it to my Philosophy and Gender students. A most dynamic conversation! Will have to do a follow up post when we cover the Sartre/Beauvoir chapter in Karen Warren’s An Unconventional History of Western Philosophy.
In the meantime, I will post our summaries of our reading of Chandra Mohanty’s Feminism Without Borders. A Year of Feminist Classics Reading Group also covered her first chapter:
